A White Christmas in Oregon

It was a winter wonderland in Portland this December so Chad and I got to enjoy a white Christmas. This year instead of flying in at night which we typically do, we decided to make it easier on our selves and fly in in the morning. Flying in on Christmas Eve morning wasn't our ideal choice, but thankfully we opted for those tickets. If we had tried to fly in any earlier, there is no doubt our flight would have been canceled due to the winter storm. Fortunately, we took off on time and only had to sit on the runway for about 30 minutes after landng while the PDX planes diced. Surprisingly, we made our way through the luggage filled airport and picked up our rental car quite painlessly. Whoo hoo.

Chad did an excellent job driving us in the snow from Point A to Point B to Point C....

We had a great time celebrating the holiday with my side of the family this year, keeping things simple with a nice dinner, family quality time and of course Santa found the adorable nieces. =)

A few friends were also nearby so we were fortunate enough to visit with Matt and Jess and their 1 year old little boy, Carter. DatNhan and John and their 2 year old little girl, Hannah and of course we never go to Beaverton with out visiting Grandma Betty!

After a few days in Beaverton and after the snow started to melt away, we headed south to Woodburn to celebrate Christmas with the Robinson side of the family before heading back to Phoenix.

Mom Robinson hosted a festive night with lots of holiday cheer and good food. With the improved weather, we were also able to go to one of our favorite spots with the rents in a small town outside of Woodburn called Silverton for breakfast.

It was a great holiday vacation!
