Oh Baby!

Digital Home Pregnancy Test: 4/11/11
Positive (Hospital) Pregnancy Test: 4/13/11
First Ultra Sound: 4/20/11 - Baby measured at 4.5 weeks

Morning sickness kicked in at 6 weeks! (May 5)
Morning sickness or in my case all day, mostly night sickness kicked in right at 6 weeks. I've been fighting naseau, loss of appetite, throwing up and being super hungry about every other day. I work during the day, rest during lunch and veg on the couch after work until I head to bed around 9:30 pm. ha. Not very glamourous or exciting and Chad asked if this is normal? ha.

Poor guy, he has to deal with my lack of feeling well and moodiness.

My night sickness ended up being pretty bad from week 6 to about week 13.

10 Weeks - Our dancing Bean! (May 27)
Chad and I had our first appointment with the midwife this morning and she did an ultrasound. The little bean was bouncing and dancing, swinging its little arms and legs wild. We also saw the little heart fluttering away! The larger round area in the black area is the body and the lighter specs above are body limbs. Looks like the little bean is having a party and I get to worship the porcelain goddess. ha.

We can confirm that there is only one baby and it's currently around 1" long - about the size of an olive or grape.

13 Weeks - Mini-me White (June 15)
We shared videos of the ultrasound today but here are some of the photos we got from the tech. You can see baby's lips and nose pretty well in the top photo and baby's leg is stretched out in the bottom photo.

Our Mini-me has a nice strong heart beat, brain development looked good, and he/she has a stomach, bladder and even the genitals are developing. The little one even crossed it's legs and moved it's arms around for us to see thumbs, fingers and toes. =)

Now time to eat spaghetti!!!

Password is: minime

20 Week Ultra Sound! (Aug 4)
The appointment was so long. Baby was super active with head down, spinal cord up and positioned low in my uterus. They ended up moving my table/bed so my head was down and my legs were up in the air - not very comfortable might I add but baby didn't seem to care to move. ha! We get all the results tomorrow oh and the baby weighs 11 oz. We don't want to know the sex until delivery day so the technician didn't check out the goods.

Chad's comments: You should see the vertebrae. Like an octopus.
Hands and feet are amazing though.

Chad got to feel baby kicks and jabs last night.

Video - Baby with hands in front of face and yawns!

29 Weeks - Only 11 more weeks to go... (Oct 10)
Our anticipated due date is 12/24!! Right now, we've been working on our baby registry, spending time with our family on the weekends and I've been prepping for my maternity leave replacement at work. We are having a co-ed baby shower Thanksgiving weekend and can't wait to have one big final hurrah with our close friends and family. There seems to be an endless amount of things to do and get! =)

Our next appointment is at the end of the month and our first Preparation for Childbirth and Newborn Care class is on the 20th - 2 hours each Thursday for 7 weeks. Yikes!

Baby likes to move around a lot these days, which is quite noticeable from outside of the stomach. It's fun to feel and watch and it sometimes hurts! Sleepless nights have begun among other body discomforts but all in all, Mom and Dad are feeling good and are happy to report that the pregnancy has been great! We can't wait to meet our little Miss or Mr.
