Girls Weekend in AZ

During the first weekend of November one of my closest friends, Jessica came to visit from Portland. Back in August for her birthday, she asked her husband if her present could be a trip to visit me and spend some time in the sunshine during the fall! Of course, I was super excited when I found out, so we quickly made plans and counted down the days!

With a little boy under the age of two, this was Jessica's first time being away from her son for an entire weekend. I have to give her props, she did an amazing job and we had the best girls weekend ever! With Chad away for part of the weekend on a camping trip with other photogs, we explored AZ on our own and had a great time venturing around, hiking, drinking margaritas and watching a movie at the theater. A rare treat in our lives currently. =)

It was great to visit with a good friend and to refresh the inner spirits with being in the beautiful outdoors that AZ can offer. It's good to be out and about again, especially after one long hot summer!
