Chad and I always love visitors... especially when our parents visit! There's nothing like having our Moms and Dads around, they are always fun, entertaining and easy to please. Basically they just want to relax, soak up the sun and enjoy a cocktail or two. =)
This past weekend was easy breezy and the weather was perfect. The parents got in late on Friday night, so we were able to start Saturday nice and early with cups of coffee and the patio. Chad taught class on Saturday morning so afterwards we met up at our local favorite, Casey Moore's for lunch before heading over to the final spring ASU football practice game, which is open to the public. Of course the majority of ASU's biggest fans are at this practice game, so with Dad being an alumni and fan... this was a highlight of his trip. Mom and I decided to leave a little early and do some shopping... on the agenda - Cheerleading outfits for the girl grandchildren in the family. Once finished the game was also over and off we went to enjoy some drinks and appetizers on Mill Avenue before heading home for the evening. Chad and I opted to cook dinner for the parents and made a simple evening at home.
With the parents having been in Arizona several times before, Sunday was a day for no agenda. We just spent time hanging out around the home. My mom treated me to a mani/pedi and we bought felit mignon to grill at the pool for dinner. Yum! It was nice to have a relaxing weekend with the rents and it was sad to say good-bye on Monday afternoon!
